the tour show

Canadian-born artist Ben Tour (b. 1977) channels a dark, often haunting sense of humanism in his work. His observations deftly inform his paintings, enabling him to capture the essence of a character, and then distort that view any way he desires. Frenetic lines, swaths of color, and intimate angles all convey a sense that Tour may not only be drawing inspiration from the lives of strangers he observes, but manifesting his own personal experiences as well. Ben Tour lives on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia with his Wife and two children. Tour has exhibited in galleries from Los Angeles to Miami, Hamburg to New York. His work has been featured in publications including Juxtapoz and Playboy and he is a regular contributor to Color magazine. He has worked with clients such as BMW, Absolut, Nike and Burton Snowboards.

the horse

tHe Horse was born out of the praxis-gap of health care & the retail industry. Disillusioned with blood, syringes & HD appliances, both Scott Hawkes & Gabrielle Glennie founded a friendship upon an ethical & intrinsic vision of highest quality Italian leather for the fashioned gentleman, the discerning lady & the recalcitrant young. Developing themselves as commited farriers, Gabrielle & Scott began shoeing the public with a prescription leather applied topically to the foot, an innovation taken from scott's research in health care. However, after careful assessment and both feeling more could be done, Gabrielle complimented Scott’s original model with her own creative eclectic collective; thus producing tHe Horse: intrinsic upholstery for the foot. Based upon the idea of 'each feet personality', tHe Horse wears & grooves in smiles & tears as your feet live, birthing individual character.

Nadia Izruna the designer behind the brand started designing and hand making the first Nadinoo collections in February 2009. She said:I liked the idea of hand sewing a garment just for the intended wearer, making it special and unique just for them. The idea of deconstructing the process to be more flexible and engaging for the consumer is a concept I still hope to develop further in future collections.”

holmes & yang

Katie Holmes and longtime stylist Jeanne Yang have come together to create Holmes & Yang, a premium designer collection that debuted in the Fall of 2009. The collection is predominately women’s wear, with a small capsule children’s collection that uses many of the same fabrications and shares similar styles to the women’s collection. Holmes & Yang was a natural collaboration between two friends, who drew inspiration for starting the collection from motherhood and their children. The designing duo were constantly looking for easy, timeless pieces that would be appropriate and stylish in their day to day, busy lives, and created Holmes & Yang to fulfill that need. Silk jumpsuits with harem pants, cropped motorcycle jackets with intricate leather detailing and elegant blazers with nailhead ribbon lining to ensure a gorgeous fit, done in a classic color palette of navy and cream, are just a few of the beautiful offerings in the collection. Top priorities for the two when creating Holmes & Yang were supreme quality of fabrics, perfecting the fit and attention to small details, which is evidenced in the luxurious and sophisticated one-of-a-kind pieces that will find a permanent home in every chic woman’s closet. The designers chose to launch with a very limited production run, investing their time on each piece to make it as valuable and special to the customer as possible. Holmes & Yang is made in the USA, which was of the utmost importance to the designers when creating the collection. Holmes & Yang is sold exclusively at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, Chicago and Madison Avenue and Maxfield in Los Angeles and Malibu.
